Basic Rules
Baccarat is a comparison game played between two hands — Banker and Player. Your goal is not to beat the dealer directly, but to predict which hand will come closest to 9. Here are the key rules you need to know before you start playing at fa99.
| Card Value | Point Count | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Ace | 1 point | A = 1 |
| 2 through 9 | Face value | 7 = 7 points |
| 10, J, Q, K | 0 points | K = 0 |
| Two cards | Last digit of the total | 7 + 8 = 15 → 5 points |
| Natural Win | 8 or 9 with 2 cards | No third card drawn |
After two cards are dealt to each hand, a third card may be drawn based on fixed baccarat rules. You don't need to make any decisions about the third card — fa99's system handles everything automatically. All you need to do is place your bet before the round begins and wait for the result.
At fa99, every baccarat round is managed by a professionally trained live dealer. All cards are drawn from a shoe containing eight standard decks, ensuring maximum fairness and randomness in every game.
Payout Table
Understand the payouts before you place any bets — it makes for sharper strategy planning.
Payouts apply to bets at the Classic table. Other variations may differ slightly.
Big Road
One feature of baccarat that draws many players in Malaysia is the Road Map — a past results display system that helps players identify patterns and make smarter betting decisions. At fa99, every table comes equipped with a real-time road map board.
The three most popular types of road maps are Big Road (result of each round), Bead Road (simple grid layout) and Big Eye Boy (pattern repetition analysis). While road maps don't guarantee a win — baccarat is still a game of chance — they help players make more informed betting decisions.

Strategy & Tips
Baccarat isn't purely about luck. With the right strategy, you can maximize your winning odds and manage your budget more effectively.
Statistically, Banker carries a slightly lower house edge of around 1.06% compared to Player at 1.24%. Even with the 5% commission, betting on Banker remains the stronger play over the long run. Many experienced fa99 players use this as the foundation of their strategy.
While the Tie payout of 8:1 may look attractive, the house edge on this bet is very high at around 14.4%. Use Tie as an occasional bet for added excitement, not as your main strategy. At fa99, stick to Banker or Player for more consistent results.
Before sitting down at a fa99 baccarat table, set clear limits for yourself. For example, if you start with RM 200, set a win limit of RM 400 and a loss limit of RM 100. Sticking to these limits helps you protect your balance and enjoy the game without unnecessary pressure.
Many Malaysian baccarat players follow a streak-chasing strategy — if Banker wins several times in a row, keep betting on Banker until the pattern shifts. There's no guarantee, but the strategy is popular for being easy to follow and capable of producing solid returns during a good session.
Flat betting means wagering the same amount every round — no increasing or decreasing. It's the safest approach to managing your bankroll. Start with 2% to 5% of your account balance per bet at fa99.
Fa99 offers a range of bonuses you can use at the baccarat tables, including deposit bonuses, weekly cashback, and special promotions. fa99 Diamond VIP members enjoy up to 10% cashback on baccarat losses. Make the most of these promotions to extend your playtime and improve your chances of winning.
